VEnvirotech

VEnvirotech is a biotechnology Catalan start-up dedicated to the transformation of organic waste into polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) bioplastics by bacteria which are biodegradable in the environment and compatible with the human body.

The Catalan start up Venvirotech Biotechnology won the 2019 Investment Forum organized by ACCIÓ, where the company presented the creation of this new technology. The company proposals’ won among 21 other finalist start-ups and pitched its project in front of 600 people and organisations audience, such as public local and international investors. The Investment Forum recognizes successful entrepreneurship annually, elected by relevant representatives from the Catalan entrepreneurial ecosystem.As a result, VEnvirontech got in touch with ACCIÓ-Enterprise Europe Network advisers looking for advisory support to obtain additional EU RDI funding for its new technology. Venvirotech future ambitions: better positioning on the market, Increase the Company’s market share, Increase the Company’s turnover,to generate cost savings which will make the company more competitive, to develop the potential to enter into new Markets and to create 4 new jobs. Venvirotech would like to continue collaborating with EEN and increase its’ participation in H2020 calls.The support of the Enterprise Europe Network contributed to the company to improve its’ proposal to win the Horizon 2020 grant (SME Instrument Phase I).
